About me

Most designers
join a team.
I built one.

5.8 Years Enterprise B2B AI-Native Design 500+ Daily Users

First design hire at Helson. No process, no system, no one to ask. Left with 80+ components, five products, and 500+ people who could finally do their jobs without friction.

Design philosophy

How I think
about the work

01
Remove the step. Don't design around it.
The best design call I've made wasn't adding something — it was cutting steps nobody needed. Complexity usually means something wasn't understood clearly enough. I start by questioning whether each step earns its place.
02
Opinions are part of the job.
I don't wait to be told what to fix. I dig into the problem, form a view on what's actually causing it, and bring that alongside a proposed fix — not just a diagnosis. Someone has to be willing to say "we're solving the wrong thing."
03
Trust has to be visible. Not just true.
Designing FinPilot — an AI copilot for compliance officers — taught me that users don't trust AI because it's accurate. They trust it because it shows its reasoning. That instinct shapes every interface I build with risk or consequence.
04
The messy part is where the work happens.
The wrong turn at week two. The research finding that broke your first assumption. The constraint that forced a better solution. I design with that friction, not around it — and my case studies show the thinking, not just the final screen.
Where I came from

The first
design hire story

I joined Helson Software Solutions with no design team, no process, no component library, and no one to ask "is this right?" I was the company's first dedicated designer — and I had to build the function from scratch.

That meant deciding what usability testing looked like, what a design review meant, and how to talk to developers who'd never worked with a designer before. Uncomfortable in exactly the right way.

By the time I left: 80+ reusable components, a design system governing five products, 40+ user flows, and 500+ people whose daily workflows I'd rethought from the ground up. The most valuable thing I learned wasn't a method. It was how to build conviction in the absence of a playbook.

What I'm building

Agentic UX patterns
Designing for AI that acts, not just responds. How do you show a user what an agent did, why it did it, and when they should step in? Working through this daily.
D.AI — Adaptive AI Interface
A working React prototype where the entire UI — agents, tools, theme — reconfigures itself based on the user's profession. 28 personas, live Claude API. The AI that becomes you.
MS — Technology Management
Finishing at Avila University, December 2026. GPA 3.83. AI & ML, enterprise architecture, system analysis — building the technical depth behind the design instinct.

Let's talk

Complex problems.
That's the good stuff.

Open to full-time, contract, and internship roles. Enterprise UX, AI-native design, workflows that need someone who actually digs into them.
